Unison Spark – UK Edition
Unison Spark will be published (as Unison 3.0) in the United Kingdom on April 1, the same day that Game of Thrones season 2 begins and people in offices and schools around the world prepare for an onslaught of ill-conceived pranks.
As you can see, Catnip Publishing did an awesome job with the cover. Readers across the pond can pre-order now from Amazon UK!

Axl Rose got so excited about release day that he jumped off an oil tanker.
A Letter From Brian Jacques
Along with The Lord of the Rings, Brian Jacques’ Redwall books were my introduction to fantasy literature. At the tail end of elementary school, I sent him a fan letter. His incredibly gracious reply stayed pinned to my bulletin board for a long time. Thanks to the comprehensive archives in the Marino family basement and the document-hunting skills of my parents, I’ve still got a copy.
Brian Jacques died earlier this year, so I thought I’d pay tribute by sharing his kind words to a kid who wanted to be a writer himself someday.
Uncrashable Dakota
I’m very happy to announce that Holt will be publishing my second novel, UNCRASHABLE DAKOTA. Once again, I’ll be working with the incomparable Noa Wheeler.
Here’s the deal:
September 12, 2011
Andy Marino’s UNCRASHABLE DAKOTA, pitched as “Die Hard” on a steampunk airship, set in an alternate 1914 in which the teen heir of the Dakota aeronautical empire has to foil a hijacking of the flagship’s first trans-Atlantic flight and discovers dark secrets about his family’s history that could ignite the entire world if revealed, again to Noa Wheeler at Holt Children’s, by Elana Roth at Johnson Literary (World English).
Rights: elana@johnsonlitagency.com
It didn’t make the Publishers Marketplace summary, but the novel also features intrigue rooted in the Civil War. And some pretty weird bugs. And moonshine.
I’m incredibly grateful to my agent, Elana Roth, for putting it all together for a second time.
